Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: Health & Sanitation Precautions
The health and safety of our community is our utmost priority and we are taking important preventative measures to maintain a clean and safe environment in order to continue serving you and our community. We are closely following CDC guidance to plan for and monitor this developing situation. As of now, we are operating in limited capacity through our takeout, curbside pickup, small size catering with local delivery and gift card services.
Please note, there have been no COVID-19 cases tied to Cafe Gabriela and the risk to our customers and workers remain low. Rest assured, every precaution is being considered including, but not limited to, the below actions we are taking at our cafe in response to COVID-19.

What measures have Cafe Gabriela put in place in response to the virus?
- All customers and workers are now required to wear face coverings when entering the cafe for takeout services.
- All customers and workers must practice social distancing.
- Increased sanitization of all high-frequency touch-points including menus, door handles, countertops, restrooms and dispensers.
- Encouraging customers and workers to stay at home if they feel sick or show any symptoms of illness.
- The risk to our customers and staff remains low and we are continuing to welcome our loyal community members for takeout, curbside pickup and small size catering with local delivery services.
How are you making sure staff and customers who are infected don’t come to the cafe and infect others?
We encourage all customers and workers to follow guidance from the CDC, including the recommended prevention measures to stay healthy. Any team member or customers who is feeling ill should remain at home until symptoms have subsided and they have been cleared by a doctor to return to normal daily activities.
Will Cafe Gabriela be closing or reducing hours in response to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19)?
We will be operating under temporary hours. Monday – Friday: 10am – 3pm (temporary hours), Saturday & Sunday: Closed.
How are you keeping your staff safe?
We have reinforced our illness policies to ensure that any worker who feels ill remains at home until medically cleared to return to work. As always, we are following the guidance of the relevant health departments, advising our staff to locate their local health department contact information, and encouraging all team members to check the CDC website for accurate information regarding how Coronavirus spreads and prevention measures.
